About

WVCC is, we like to think, one of the friendliest cricket clubs in the South East of England. We warmly welcome players or any age or standard wishing to play competitive or social cricket in beautiful surroundings.

Founded in 1919, in the charming setting of Whiteley Village in Surrey, we are a club built on tradition, togetherness and a shared love for the game of cricket.

We have two cricket squares in the same field; our players (Seniors and Juniors) play home matches at our private grounds “at home”, not on Park pitches.

Our tracks are some of the best prepared in the league. Matt, our groundsman, who works at Wimbledon Lawn tennis club, uses his grass knowledge and skills to keep our squares in tip-top shape.

We have a growing Junior Section, a social Sunday team and three Saturday league teams in the Surrey Cricket Championship. Midweek T20 games are also available either in the Surrey Slam league or with our Over 40s and Social teams.

We want players to enjoy their cricket, play it in the right spirit and feel part of a successful local club. Whether you are a topflight or average club cricketer looking for a fun social game, we will have a standard of cricket to suit you.

The whiteley way

At Whiteley Village CC, we aim to:

  • Make cricket accessible and enjoyable for all
  • Provide high-quality coaching and facilities
  • Develop young players and provide pathways into adult cricket
  • Create a strong community atmosphere
  • Uphold the Spirit of Cricket and promote respect, inclusivity, and teamwork

We’re not just a club that plays cricket — we’re a club that supports, teaches, celebrates, and grows together.

Our unique setting in Whiteley Village brings with it a character that’s hard to find elsewhere. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and a strong sense of community spirit, our club is both a sporting home and a social hub.

Many of our members live locally, but we also welcome players from further afield who are drawn by the club’s atmosphere and ambition. Whether it’s matchday, training, or an off-field social, you’ll always be greeted with a smile.

Senior Teams

For over-18s, we currently run five teams. Our First and Second XIs play on a Saturday but we also feature a Sunday friendly side.

WVCC have a T20 and Over 40s side for those who are looking for a more relaxed competition.

We run Winter Nets in the off-season and weeknight training throughout the summer.

Our coaching staff are all ECB-qualified, and we maintain a strong commitment to player development at every stage.

Junior Teams

At WVCC, we have a strong youth side that is always open to new players regardless of ability. Our All Stars and Dynamos programmes provide a fun introduction to cricket for those aged 5 to 11.

For those who wish to play competitively, we have several Junior teams from Under 9s to Under 17s.

Supporting the journey to adult cricket is a priority for us and we encourage all of our young players to develop their skills.

Memberships

To sign up or renew your membership please click here for adults and here for youth players. We encourage everyone to give cricket a try, even if you’ve never picked up a bat before!

We’ll teach you all the skills you need while providing a fun atmosphere and welcoming you into our community.
